Amazing skiing and great west coast hospitality has made Whistler the No 1 North American resort. Amidst the spectacular coastal mountains of British Columbia, Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains offer everything from perfectly prepared pistes to extensive off-piste skiing. Beginners will find gentle runs, there are plenty of intermediate pistes and the numerous bowls provide perfect powder skiing. The traffic free resort offers a variety of restaurants, great bars, night clubs and shops.

Our Opinion

Whistler has been ranked number 1 ski resort 12 years running and is also host to the 2010 Winter Olympics and is a unique ski village with a distinctively West Coast style, relaxed mood and spectacular skiing. The attractive pedestrianised village centre has pleasant walkways and plazas with stylish shops, a huge choice of great bars, clubs and restaurants. Designed by skiers, for skiers, everything you could possibly want from a ski holiday is right on your doorstep. Brand new this winter is the record breaking gondola joining Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and making it even easier to cover more of the two mountains.

Riders who come here are usually blown away by the pipes and parks, they are riddled with kickers and the pipes are perfectly maintained. On powder days, riders normally head to the Peak Chair for the best turns.

World Snowboard GuideFreeriders, of all levels have everything here, expert and novice trails through trees and for those seeking powder twelve bowls to choose from. Freestylers tend to stay on Blackcomb mountain where you'll find 2 half pipes, a quarter pipe and mega fun park. Beginners are spoilt for terrain and snowboard tuition.
